Graf von Faber-Castell Guilloche Fountain Pen

I'm not a collector but I am a calligraphy aficionada. Which means that I'm not an expert but can appreciate a good pen. And this is an excellent fountain pen. I've had the first one for months now and use it every day. I've never had a problem. It flows perfectly, has never dried, etc. It's the first high quality pen I've purchased in my entire life and it certainly makes a difference. I prefer slimmer pens and this one is perfect for me. I had the idea that I wanted something slimmer but it's actually not that comfortable. This size is perfect for me. I also bought the tiny Sailor Chalana which is an entirely different thing. I love it but it's not an every-day pen. This Graf Von Faber Castell Guilloche is clearly made for daily use. It's never let me down.

Gosh! What a pen. I also own a Faber Castell Ambition Pearwood in broad nib (I chose broad in the Guilloche too) and although from a price point is very unfair (£70 vs £300) I was genuinely intrigued as the size and general design is similar-ish. Yes I know this is of obvious better quality but let's just talk nibs and writing abilities. This pen annihilates the Ambition completely. I really like the Ambition and it is superior to many other fountain pens in it's own price bracket, but compared to the Guilloche it is like comparing a Cessna with Concorde. I am not exaggerating, I just want to write with this pen even when I have ran out of words, ink and paper. Utterly stunning and worth every single penny

A lovely, lightish pen, that despite its understated size and weight, feels very nice to hold. The nib is excellent - I have the medium, and its perfect as a general purpose nib. I Liked this pen so much, I immediately ordered another, different colour.

The Graf Von Faber Castell Guilloche fountain pen is a delight to write with. It is easy to hold,the perfect weight, smooth on the paper and superior quality. I am a writer who still often writes the first draft by hand. It has been many years since I have used a fountain pen and I had quite forgotten that without resistance a pen can write as quickly as my words flow! The service and delivery of the Pen Company was exceptional.

I recently purchased a Graf Von Faber Castell Classic fountain pen from The Pen Company at a good price and it was dispatched quickly. I ordered the Fine nib because I already have a Faber Castell fountain pen with that size nib. But I found it to be thicker and asked about having it changed for an Extra Fine nib. The Pen Company were very helpful and promptly change the nib for me, great service. Will certainly use them again.

Was attracted by the reduced price but also because I prefer pens with some character (and not a ubiquitous Mont Blanc!) and this fits the bill. The guilloche resin barrel makes it quite light but I find the balance fine with the cap posted and the writing (medium oblique nib) is perfect. A very nice pen and superb service from the Pen Company.

Bought the cognac fountain pen to match the pencil I've had for some time. Quality of Graf von Faber-Castell pens and pencils cannot be faulted. Supplied at a good price and very quickly by The Pen Company.
