Description
The Classic collection from Graf von Faber-Castell are available as a fountain pen, capped roller ball, propelling ball pen or 0.7mm mechanical pencil.
The collection comprises of several different finishes: platinum plated; matt black ebony wood, reddish brown pernambuco wood or dark brown grenadilla wood barrels - all with platinum plated trims; or the luxurious solid sterling silver implements - the highlight of the range.
The fountain pens use a converter/cartridge system for maximum practicality. The roller ball and ball pens both accept standard refills and the pencils have 0.7mm leads with an eraser concealed under the end-cap.

Wonderful Pen...Exceptional Service!

Pure quality & function
This is the second pen in this range that I have bought. Both the fountain pen and also this rollerball are excellent. Good weight / size allows you to use it for hours. Perfect ink flow allows you to create your best handwriting.
What's the difference between this pen and the Grenadilla Graf von Faber-Castell Intuition Platino Wood Rollerball Pen? thanks.
The Classic is a slimmer pen, with a parallel fluted wooden barrel and the cap has a knurled detail at the end. The wooden Intuition has evolved from the resin version of the Intuition to combine the fluted features of the Classic with the modern curves and cleaner detailing of the Intuition.
The wooden Intuition pens have a fluted wooden barrel that follow the curves of the pen, the cap has a cleaner look, with the knurled detailing dropped in favour of the plain flared end.
The Intuition unscrews from the rear of the pen, allowing for a smaller front part, the rollerball version takes the Graf von Faber-Castell extra large "Magnum" refill, where the Classic accepts the standard refill.
Both are great pens, really it comes down to personal preference; the slightly slimmer Classic with it's more traditional features, or the chunkier, more modern Intuition.
