Description
  • Kaweco's Sketch Up clutch pencil is an expertly-constructed metal pencil with an octagonal barrel available in brass, chrome, matt black and satin chrome. The grip and push button are finished in polished chrome on all models.

The 5.6mm lead is released by a simple clutch mechanism operated by the push button, which also unscrews to reveal a lead sharpener.

The pencil comes with a lead installed and is presented in a small metal presentation box. Use in conjunction with Kaweco's octagonal pocket clip for added convenience.

Gorgeous sketching pencil

Not sure why people buy a pen specifically designed to sketch with then complain a 2b lead is too dark. Guess they only drew using apps because as a fine art graduate this pen is perfect to have in my pocket or handbag with a small sketchbook. Seriously nobody uses hb thin leads to sketch unless you do not know what you are doing . So. This is a beautiful brass mechanical pencil nicely weighted, beautiful to look at and the lead / graphite is slimmer than woodless pencils but is good for everyday quick sketches. It's a pocket pencil and fits in all my pockets without sticking out, the lack of an annoying clip is even better to fit into a pencil roll or small watercolor set beside your travel quill brush. Probably the best sketching pencil out at the minute although 2b is much lighter than my usual 6 , 8 or 9 b lead. As I said why buy a sketching pencil if you do not know how to use graphite leads? It also has a nifty sharpener in the top so if you don't like blunt lead or want to use powder graphite to smudge and shade it is perfect. Glad I spent a small fortune on such a beautiful device.
