It's the best

This was my first choice of inks when I became interested in fountain pens about ten years back. And it's remained my favourite, needing renewed about three times as often as its stablemates. Nowhere near as severe as Onyx Black when coming from a wet M nib, it has loads of presence on the page when used with Clairefontaine or Optik 90gm paper. I mostly use Black'n Red A5 notebooks these days, and Diamine's inks seem to me to suit those paper stocks very well indeed. Sapphire Blue is good too, and less severe than both Bilberry and Onyx Black. These three inks answer most of my needs for everyday scribbling, and none are guilty of feathering or odd flow characteristics. my pens vary from several Souverans to a fistful of Twsbis and a single Kaweco Sport in brass. All function well with these Diamine inks - and some others too that I sometimes use for a change. "Writer's Blood" is also good, and not gory at all - (on writing paper anyway....)
